Meet the Top 20 (June 27, 2012)Edit

Nick is the first of the three ballroom dancers (himself, Lindsay Arnold, and Witney Carson) to receive the news of whether he's in the Top 20 or not. He breaks down in front of the judges and he tells them that he knows he can do it. Tyce then delivers him the message that he made it to the Top 20. He dances a cha-cha-cha with Lindsay Arnold and Witney Carson. The piece was danced to "Dance Again" by Jennifer Lopez ft. Pitbull and choreographed by Jason Gilkison. Mary announces that she's proud of them and how it's great there are three ballroom dancers this season. Nick is told that Mary still wants a little more from him. Guest judge Zooey Deschanel praises him for being able to keep up with the two girls.

Week 1 (July 11, 2012)Edit

In the package, the dancers must describe themselves in nine seconds. Nick is paired up with Amber Jackson and assigned a Viennese Waltz by Jason Gilkison to "Nights in White Satin" by Tina Arena. Mary thought the whole thing was dreamy and that Nick was phenomenal. Guest judge Kenny Ortega thought it was fluid, flowing, and lovely, and praised Jason for the design of the choreography. Nigel thought Jason brought the best out of Nick but tells him to be careful and make sure he doesn't get this anxious look on his face because then viewers won't believe it.

Week 2 (July 18, 2012)Edit

Nick and partner Amber danced an Argentine Tango by Miriam Larici and Leonardo Barrionuevo to "Tanguera" by Sexteto Mayor. Guest judge Adam Shankman tells Nick that he was so good, he made his partner look great, which caused him to vanish a little bit. Nigel disagrees with Adam, telling Nick that he was very, very strong and praised the choreographers for the routine. Mary also praises him, telling him that no one else in this competition could do reverse pivots on the stage better than he could.

During the results, Nick found himself in the Bottom 6 due to his Viennese Waltz in Week 1. After some deliberation, Nick Bloxsom-Carter was eliminated from So You Think You Can Dance.
