Matthew Austin Kazmierczak (born April 2, 1991) is a Contemporary dancer. He competed in the ninth season of So You Think You Can Dance and placed in the Top 14.

Biography

Kazmierczak was born and raised in Peoria, Arizona. He went to Sunrise Mountain High School, and it was during those years where he found his interest for dance.

Post-SYTYCD

He teamed up with Daniel Bernardo to combine their individual styles and teaching methods to create an exciting, musically driven, athletic brand of contemporary dance. He can be seen in “Glee”, “How I Met Your Mother”, “Dancing With the Stars”, and most recently in the films “LA LA Land” and “Backseat”. He also toured with Travis Wall’s dance company “Shaping Sound”.

He and Bernardo have choreographed live pieces for company dancers at dance conventions “Hollywood Vibe” and “The Pulse on Tour”, incorporating various styles and techniques. They also have had the opportunity to work on short films and music videos for artists Aloe Black, Meghan Kinney and many more. Currently, they are dancing professionally in Los Angeles and travel often to teach, inspire and create our future generations of dancers.
